Can type 1 diabetes occur in adults?

Most of the information I read online says Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in kids or young adults. My colleague was diagnosed with it at age 35. Can Type 1 diabetes really develop in adults too, or is it rare?

Yes, it can happen in elder ages too, though people think it only affects youngsters. While traditional bitter gourd juice can support overall digestion, it cannot cure this. You must consult a proper hospital and get proper blood reports done.

Yes, totally! It's actually a myth that only kids get it. Adults can be diagnosed with type 1 too. Just stay positive, eat healthy, and definitely check in with a doctor to get the right tests done.

Yes, adult-onset type 1 is real. If diagnosed, daily physical activity like active walking is great for managing insulin sensitivity, but it must be balanced carefully. Make sure you work with your doctor to build a safe fitness routine.

Actually, my husband was diagnosed with type 1 at age 32. We were shocked because we thought it was a childhood thing. I can't give medical advice, but in our case, finding a really good endocrinologist changed everything for us.

Yes, it happens, sometimes called LADA in adults. It often gets confused with type 2 at first because of the age. If you're experiencing rapid weight loss and constant thirst, go get your GAD antibody and C-peptide levels checked by a doctor.
