Can type 1 diabetes be reversed permanently?

My doctor said Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition. I'm trying to understand if there's any treatment or therapy that can actually reverse it permanently, not just manage it. Heard some talk about stem cells, so confused.

My family often talks about traditional herbs, but for Type 1 diabetes, our doctor explained very clearly that it cannot be reversed permanently. Since the pancreas cannot produce insulin, lifelong insulin is necessary. We must always trust scientific medical advice for this.

As someone managing lifestyle health issues, I know we all want a permanent fix. But Type 1 is an autoimmune disease and cannot be reversed. Focus on regular checkups, monitoring your HbA1c, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent any future complications.

Please do not stop or reduce insulin in hopes of reversing Type 1. I know someone who tried a miracle diet and ended up in the ICU with a severe complication called DKA. Always consult your endocrinologist before making any changes.

Do not trust anyone claiming they can permanently reverse Type 1 diabetes. It is medically impossible right now because the insulin-producing cells are destroyed. Always verify any treatment advice with a qualified doctor.

I agree with others, Type 1 cannot be reversed permanently. Regular insulin therapy is the only way to manage it safely.

I once delayed my medical checkups thinking my symptoms would go away naturally, and I really regret it. Don't waste time trying to find ways to reverse Type 1. Go to a good doctor, get your regular tests done, and start proper management immediately.

My cousin has lived with Type 1 diabetes for over fifteen years. He has never been able to reverse it, but by taking his insulin on time and keeping a strict eye on his sugar levels, he lives a very normal and active life.
