Can turbt cure bladder cancer?

My father was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer, and the doctor mentioned something called TURBT. We are trying to understand all the options for his treatment. Can TURBT alone be a curative treatment for bladder cancer, or is it usually a first step?

Haan na, it is a very stressful time. For early-stage or superficial bladder cancer, TURBT can actually remove the tumor fully and cure it. But we have to go for regular checkups afterward to make sure it doesn't come back, ho na.

TURBT is very useful for early stages, but remember to plan for follow-up cystoscopy costs. Those regular checkup scans and doctor visits every few months are necessary to ensure the cancer hasn't returned, so budget for those too.

TURBT is great for removing early localized tumors, which is a big win. Keep your body strong during recovery with clean nutrition, light walks, and plenty of hydration as permitted by your surgeon.

Yes, if the cancer is caught early and is only on the surface, TURBT can cure it. Always follow your oncologist's advice.

Take a deep breath, things will be okay. TURBT is the standard first step and can absolutely cure early-stage bladder cancer. Just support your family member, keep them stress-free, and follow the doctor's plan diligently.

Practically speaking, TURBT is both a diagnostic tool and a treatment. If the biopsy shows the cancer is non-invasive, TURBT often removes it completely. However, sometimes additional chemo washes are done in the bladder to prevent recurrence.

Listen, if it is muscle-invasive cancer, TURBT alone won't cure it; you might need other treatments. But for superficial ones, it works. Don't assume anything on your own, discuss the pathology report clearly with your urologist.
