Can trapped gas cause back pain?

For the past few weeks, I've been having a lot of back pain along with gas troubles. I'm wondering if there's any connection between them. Could trapped gas actually be causing my back to hurt?

Yes, it actually can. When I had bad bloating due to my thyroid issues, the gas pressure would sometimes radiate to my lower back. However, you should get a proper doctor follow-up and basic blood tests done to rule out any other underlying issues.

It can definitely cause a dull ache in your back when the pressure builds up. Try drinking some warm water and walk around a bit. Hope you feel better soon, take rest.

Haan na, ye gas ka pain bahut ajeeb hota hai. Sometimes it goes straight to the back and makes you feel so uncomfortable. Try having some warm ginger water, it usually gives some relief ghar pe.

It absolutely does. Many times we think it is muscle pain but it is just trapped gas. A very simple solution is to walk for 15 minutes after meals and avoid heavy food at night. If it still persists, a basic antacid prescribed by your local doctor will help.

Haan babu, gas jab pet me ruk jaati hai toh peeth me bhi dard hone lagta hai. Warm water me thoda hing aur namak daal kar piyo, bahut aaram milega. Jyada pareshani ho toh doctor babu ko dikha lena.

I used to get this severe back ache and I honestly thought I had some spinal issue, which gave me so much anxiety. When the doctor told me it was just severe gastric pressure, I felt such a huge relief. You are not alone, gas pain can truly mimic bad back aches.
