Can too much zinc cause thyroid problems?

I have hypothyroidism and take my medications regularly. I also take zinc supplements sometimes for general health benefits. Can taking too much zinc actually cause problems with my thyroid?

I know how stressful it is when you start worrying about hormone issues like thyroid. Excess zinc can actually interfere with copper absorption, which is critical for thyroid hormone production, leading to thyroid imbalances. Take a deep breath and get your levels checked to clear your mind.

Bro, yes. I took high-dose zinc supplements for gym recovery and it totally messed with my thyroid levels because it blocked my copper absorption. My doctor made me stop the zinc immediately. Just get a T3/T4/TSH test done.

Overusing these modern chemical supplements often disturbs our delicate glands like the thyroid. Try using natural things like coriander seed water in the morning, stop the zinc pills, and consult a doctor for a proper thyroid test.

I am new here and actually just started taking zinc tablets for my skin. Does too much zinc really cause thyroid issues? Should I stop taking them right away or wait to ask a doctor?

Hey, yes, zinc and copper have a delicate balance in the body, and too much zinc suppresses copper, which can impair thyroid hormone synthesis. Please stop any daily high-dose zinc supplements and get a proper blood test done.

Managing diabetes requires keeping all hormones balanced, including the thyroid. Since high zinc can trigger thyroid dysfunction, you must be extremely cautious with supplement dosages. Please get your thyroid and mineral levels checked under medical supervision.

I don't have time for complicated treatments, so I avoid self-medicating with zinc. Zinc toxicity can definitely disrupt thyroid function by depleting copper levels. Skip the random supplements and get a quick TSH test to save time and health.
