Can too much sleep give you a headache?
After a week of less sleep, I tend to oversleep on my days off, sometimes for 10-12 hours. Almost every time, I wake up with a really bad headache. Does sleeping too much actually give you a headache?

It definitely does, because sleeping extra dehydrates the body and affects brain chemicals. I used to get massive migraines on Sundays. My tip: even if you sleep late, wake up at your usual time, drink water, have a light breakfast, and then take a short 20-minute nap later if you want.

My mother always tells me that sleeping past 7 AM creates 'pitta' in the body and causes headaches. Honestly, she is quite right, but when I asked my physician, he also said it is due to dehydration during long sleep hours. Best is to keep a water bottle next to your bed.
Beta, at this age I have realized that the human body runs on discipline. Sleeping too much causes a block in your blood circulation, which leads to headache and lethargy. Don't worry, just wake up early, take a walk in the fresh air, and your health will remain good.
