Can too much caffeine cause erectile dysfunction?

I drink a lot of coffee every day to stay alert at work, like 4-5 cups. Off late, I've been having some trouble with erectile dysfunction, and a friend casually mentioned caffeine could be a factor. Is there any truth to this?

High levels of caffeine can increase stress hormones like cortisol, which constricts blood vessels and might indirectly affect performance. If you are drinking too much coffee and facing this, try cutting it down to one cup. If the issue persists, don't hesitate to see a urologist.

Bro, if coffee was causing that, half of our IT sector would be in big trouble by now! Jokes aside, moderate caffeine actually helps blood flow, but excess of anything can cause anxiety which ruins the mood. Just cut down the coffee and relax!

I see guys chugging pre-workouts loaded with caffeine, which spikes blood pressure and anxiety. Instead, focus on a clean diet, heavy squats, and limit caffeine to 200mg max. Good sleep and blood flow are key for performance.

I also read some articles about this and got super anxious, which made my sleep even worse. Honestly, the anxiety of thinking 'is coffee ruining my health' does more damage than the coffee itself. Try to calm down, reduce caffeine, and see a doctor if you are worried.

I can only share what happened to me. I was drinking five cups of strong black coffee daily and noticed a lot of anxiety and performance issues. Once I restricted myself to just one morning tea, my sleep improved and things got much better downstairs.

Don't blindly search online for such sensitive issues and get stressed, as stress itself worsens erectile dysfunction. Caffeine's effect varies, and it could be due to diabetes, BP, or psychological reasons. Go consult a qualified doctor for actual guidance.
