Can toe fungus cause leg pain?

I've had a persistent toe fungus for a while, and recently I've started feeling this odd ache in my lower leg. My daughter told me to get everything checked as infections can spread. Could this toe fungus be causing my leg pain?

I am not completely sure, but when I had a bad nail infection, my whole foot ached because I was walking weirdly to protect my toe. That altered gait can definitely cause calf or leg muscle pain. It is best to consult a doctor to be safe.

If the pain is spreading up your leg, it could mean the infection is getting serious or there is poor blood circulation. Please do not ignore this or treat it with home remedies. Get a proper medical diagnosis from a doctor as soon as possible.

I had a bad fungal nail last monsoon and because of the pain, I changed how I walked. I ended up with a really bad ache in my leg muscles within a week! A basic antifungal cream from the dermatologist sorted the toe, and my leg pain went away too.

Yes, if the infection is spreading to the skin or if you are walking differently to avoid pressing the sore toe.

Beta, pair ke anguthe ki seth se kabhi kabhi poore pair mein dard lagne lagta hai agar sujan badh jaye. Aap garm paani mein thoda namak dalkar pair sek lo, par doctor ko dikhana mat bhoolna.

Actually yaar, toe fungus itself shouldn't cause deep leg pain. But if the infection is spreading to the skin—like cellulitis—it can become really painful and move up the leg. If you see redness spreading, don't wait, go to a doc immediately.
