Can tide cause cancer?

My kids often play around while I'm doing laundry, and I use Tide detergent. I recently saw some things online claiming that certain chemicals in detergents might be harmful. Is there any truth to claims that Tide detergent can cause cancer?

If you are talking about Tide detergent, no, it does not cause cancer. Some laundry detergents have traces of 1,4-dioxane which is heavily regulated, but normal everyday use for washing clothes is perfectly safe and won't cause cancer.

I use Tide for my kids' clothes every single day and they have never had any issues, not even a skin rash. It's a standard detergent that goes through safety tests. Just rinse the clothes thoroughly and you have nothing to worry about.

Unless you are planning to drink Tide detergent or eat the pods, you are absolutely fine! Washing your clothes with it is not going to give you cancer. Don't believe everything you see on WhatsApp university!

Personally, my family has been using Tide detergent for decades without any health problems. I've never heard of it being linked to cancer in real life, though some people with sensitive skin prefer unscented detergents.
