Can thyroid medication increase estrogen?

My doctor put me on thyroid medication recently. I'm also going through perimenopause, and my hormones are already a bit off. Can thyroid medication potentially affect or increase estrogen levels in the body?

Actually, thyroid hormones and estrogen are closely connected in the body's endocrine system. When you start thyroid medication, it can alter how your liver processes estrogen, which I often track on my health dashboard. It's best to monitor your symptoms closely.

I used to ignore my irregular periods thinking it was just stress, but thyroid and estrogen imbalances were actually playing havoc together. Please get your hormone levels checked on time by a proper doctor instead of waiting like I did.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Hormones are super complicated, and they do affect each other, but your doctor will balance them out with the right dose. Just take your meds and let the experts handle the numbers.

Hormones in our body are basically like a chaotic WhatsApp family group chat where one message triggers everyone! Yes, thyroid meds can affect estrogen levels, but your doc knows how to keep the peace. Just relax.

I completely understand how overwhelming it is to think about hormones shifting. Thyroid medication does affect how estrogen is bound in your blood, which can feel scary, but your doctor will keep an eye on this during your routine tests.

Hamare yahan bhi log kehte hain ki thyroid ki dawai se baki harmone bhi badalte hain. Par darna mat, doctor babu se pooch kar hi sab badlaav karein, woh sab theek kar denge.

Actually, my doctor explained that thyroid hormone replacement increases a protein called sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). This can actually lower the amount of free active estrogen in your body, rather than raising it. It is a delicate balance.

Please be very careful with hormone interactions. When I started thyroid treatment, my estrogen levels also fluctuated and caused severe mood swings. I highly recommend getting a comprehensive hormone panel done by your gynecologist.

In my decades of dealing with health issues, I have seen that thyroid medication is very safe. Yes, it interacts with estrogen, especially if you are taking birth control or HRT, but any experienced doctor can easily manage both together.
