Can thyroid issues cause hot flashes?

I'm experiencing intense hot flashes, sometimes multiple times a day, making me very uncomfortable. I'm well past menopause, so I'm wondering if something else is causing them. Can thyroid issues cause hot flashes?

Oh, those sudden warm sweats are so uncomfortable, I completely understand. I tried drinking cool mint water and wearing cotton clothes, which really helped calm me down. But honestly, only setting your thyroid medication right with your doctor will stop them completely.

My daughter started getting severe hot flashes and sweating episodes because of her thyroid. We kept her room well-ventilated and made sure she stayed hydrated, but the main relief came after her endocrinologist adjusted her hormone dose. Keep a close eye on their daily routine.

Ho na, even in AC room I used to sweat and feel so hot suddenly because of my thyroid. It is very annoying! Once my doctor corrected my tablet dose, these hot flashes slowly stopped, so don't worry too much.

Yes, thyroid imbalances mess up your body's temperature control, leading to hot flashes. If your doctor permits, try going for light morning walks and doing basic breathing exercises. It really helps regulate your body heat and keeps your energy levels up.

I used to panic so much thinking something was seriously wrong with my heart when I got those sudden hot flashes and sweating. It was a very scary feeling, but my doctor explained it's just a common thyroid symptom. You are not alone, and it gets better with treatment.
