Can thyroid cause u to cough up blood?

I had a scary incident where I coughed up a small amount of blood, and I'm very worried. My mother has a severe thyroid condition. I was wondering if thyroid problems could somehow cause someone to cough up blood, or if I should look for other causes.

Beta, coughing up blood is a very serious matter and not something to ignore or treat with home remedies. While a very rare severe thyroid issue can sometimes press on things, this is most likely a lung or throat infection. Please go to a hospital immediately.

Do not search for answers online or try any herbal remedies for this. Coughing up blood is a major medical red flag and highly unlikely to be a simple thyroid issue. Go see a qualified doctor or visit an emergency room right away.

I always prefer natural solutions for small throat issues, but coughing up blood is not something to treat at home. This can be a sign of a serious respiratory problem or severe thyroid complications. Please see a doctor immediately.
