Can thyroid cause stomach issues?

I've been experiencing a lot of stomach issues lately, like bloating and indigestion, which are very uncomfortable. My sister has a thyroid condition and says she often has tummy troubles. Could thyroid problems be affecting my digestion?

Yes, thyroid problems can absolutely cause stomach issues like constipation or diarrhea depending on your levels. Get a blood test done.

Hey, don't stress too much! Thyroid can totally throw your stomach out of whack and cause bloating or digestion issues. Just book a quick doctor's visit, they will easily fix your medication and sort it out.

Yes, thyroid can definitely make your stomach behave like a roller coaster! 🎢 Don't worry, once you show it to a doctor and get the right dosage, your digestion will be back to normal in no time.

Yes, thyroid affects our digestion quite a lot. My mother used to give me warm buttermilk with jeera for stomach distress, which helps slightly, but please trust your doctor and get your thyroid levels checked regularly.

Please get this checked. I ignored my constant stomach bloating and indigestion, thinking it was normal gas, but it turned out to be severe thyroid-related gut slowing. Delaying treatment only made my gut health worse, so see a doctor soon.

Actually, hypothyroidism slows down your gut, leading to constipation and bloating, while hyperthyroidism can cause frequent loose motions. It is a very common symptom. Please consult your physician to check if your thyroid dosage needs adjusting.

I had terrible bloating and constipation for months and had no idea it was connected to my thyroid. Once I started taking the daily empty-stomach pill prescribed by my doc, my stomach issues vanished.

Since I deal with PCOS, I know how hormonal imbalances can mess up digestion and cause constant bloating. Thyroid issues often go hand-in-hand with this. It's best to consult an endocrinologist rather than trying to guess the cause.
