Can thyroid cause sleepiness?

I've been feeling unusually sleepy throughout the day, even after a full night's rest. My wife thinks I should get my thyroid checked because her friend had similar symptoms before diagnosis. Could thyroid issues be the reason for this constant sleepiness?

Yes, thyroid can make you feel extremely sleepy and tired all day. My mother-in-law suggested drinking warm ginger water and sleeping early, which is good for rest, but I highly recommend consulting your doctor for proper thyroid tests.

Bro, yes! I used to sleep through all my morning lectures and still feel exhausted. It turned out my thyroid was super low. Once the doctor started my meds, my energy levels finally got back to normal.

Yes, it causes severe drowsiness. If you plan to get tested, book a thyroid panel online from labs like Thyrocare or 1mg, as it usually costs around 300 to 400 rupees. It is much more budget-friendly than paying high lab fees at big hospitals.

I was literally dealing with this last month, sleeping for 10 hours and still feeling like a zombie at work. My doctor found my thyroid dosage was too low. After adjusting the prescription, I feel so much more awake and fresh now.

Yes, low thyroid function completely drains your energy, making you feel sleepy even after proper rest. Along with my doctor's treatment, maintaining a clean diet and forcing myself to do light daily exercise really helped boost my energy. Check with your doctor first.

Yes, extreme sleepiness is a major symptom of hypothyroidism. Getting your TSH levels checked through a simple blood test will help your doctor find the right dose for you.

Haan, bilkul! Thyroid slows down your metabolism, toh din bhar neend aati rehti hai. It's super common, na. Just get a blood test done and consult your doctor to set your dosage right.
