Can thyroid cause nausea?

I've been feeling nauseous quite often, and sometimes I even vomit without any clear reason. My sister, who has hypothyroidism, mentioned that she used to feel sick to her stomach a lot. Can thyroid problems cause persistent nausea?

Yes, it can. I ignored my constant nausea thinking it was just acidity, but my thyroid levels had spiked terribly and affected my liver enzymes too. Please don't delay, consult your physician and get a proper blood checkup done.

An underactive thyroid slows down your digestion, which can definitely cause a bloated, nauseous feeling. I found that eating light, freshly cooked vegetarian meals with ginger-tulsi tea helped ease the stomach, but getting your thyroid levels managed by a doctor is the main solution.

I was diagnosed with thyroid issues just last month and I have been feeling nauseous every morning. I was really worried about it. Does this morning sickness-like feeling go away once the doctor starts the medication?

Don't listen to people online telling you to drink random herbal mixtures for thyroid-related nausea. Nausea can be caused by so many different issues, not just thyroid. Go to a certified doctor and get proper clinical advice.

At 53, my body finds new ways to complain every day, and yes, thyroid-induced nausea is one of them. Sometimes even looking at food makes me feel weird. Just get the thyroid test done and let the doctor adjust your daily pill so you can enjoy your meals again.

I used to feel nauseous almost every day and kept popping over-the-counter antacids for months, which was a huge mistake. When I finally got checked, my thyroid was extremely high. Please don't ignore this symptom, get your blood tests done immediately.
