Can thyroid cause hypertension?

My recent health check-up showed I have hypertension, which was a bit surprising as I lead an active life. I also found out I have a slight thyroid imbalance. Could this thyroid issue be the reason for my high blood pressure?

Yes, thyroid can cause hypertension, as if life's daily stress wasn't already keeping our blood pressure high! Don't panic, your blood vessels are just reacting to some hormone drama. Get a quick test, let the doc adjust your dose, and you'll be fine.

I absolutely panicked when my blood pressure spiked out of nowhere, thinking it was a heart issue. But my doctor tested my thyroid and found it was underactive. Once I started taking my thyroid medication, my BP went back to normal, so please don't worry.

Yes, thyroid issues can definitely cause hypertension. Eating a low-sodium, plant-based diet with plenty of green vegetables can help support your cardiovascular health, but it won't cure thyroid. Make sure to consult a doctor for proper hormone treatment.

Yes, thyroid imbalances affect blood vessel stiffness and heart rate, leading to hypertension. Doing regular cardio like walking or cycling, along with a clean diet, is great for BP, but you still need your thyroid meds. Get tested and follow your doctor's plan.

I tried drinking bottle gourd juice and doing breathing exercises to lower my high blood pressure, but nothing worked until my thyroid was treated. Yes, thyroid causes hypertension, and home remedies can't cure it. Please visit a proper doctor for medicine.

Actually, yes! My mom's BP was fluctuating a lot, and we found out it was because of her thyroid. If you are having high BP, definitely ask your doctor to write a thyroid test too. It's a very simple blood test.

Man, thyroid causing high BP means we have to be super careful with deep-fried snacks and pickles. Yes, it can cause hypertension, so get it checked by a doc soon so we can keep our hearts happy and occasionally enjoy our favorite foods safely!

I just recovered from a phase of high BP that was entirely caused by an undiagnosed thyroid issue. My BP normalized within a month of starting the thyroid daily pill. Please get your thyroid levels checked; it makes a huge difference.

Please be very careful with this. I had severe hypertension that I didn't realize was linked to my thyroid, and it led to cardiovascular complications because I delayed treatment. Do not wait or self-medicate; go to a doctor and get properly evaluated immediately.

Hey, don't worry too much, but yes, thyroid can definitely cause high blood pressure. My aunt had this and she got really scared, but with proper doctor-prescribed pills, both her thyroid and BP are totally under control now. Just get a quick checkup done!
