Can thyroid cause high bp?

My blood pressure has been consistently high for a while now, and despite medication, it's difficult to control. My doctor asked me to get a thyroid test done. I'm wondering if a thyroid problem could be contributing to my high BP.

Haan, thyroid ki wajah se high blood pressure ho sakta hai, dono hypo aur hyper thyroid mein aisa hota hai. Isko halkey mein mat lena na. Ek baar acche se checkup karwa lo aur doctor se consult karo.

Ho na, thyroid and high BP are closely connected. When my mother had thyroid issues, her BP also started fluctuating a lot. It is better to get a complete checkup done from a doctor to keep both under control.

Look, if your BP is shooting up, don't ignore it thinking it's just stress. Thyroid issues directly impact your blood vessels and cause hypertension. Go get a thyroid panel test and see a proper doctor immediately.

Absolutely, thyroid dysfunction directly messes with your arterial elasticity, causing your blood pressure to rise. Don't waste time on generic lifestyle fixes first; get your thyroid blood test done and consult an endocrinologist to get a proper prescription.

Yes, thyroid causes high BP. A basic thyroid panel test is quite affordable, costing around 300 to 500 rupees at local diagnostic labs. Plan this test first before spending money on expensive heart checkups, and show the report to a general physician.

My doctor at Fortis explained that hypothyroidism makes blood vessels stiffer, which increases diastolic blood pressure, while hyperthyroidism increases heart rate and systolic BP. That is why treating the underlying thyroid hormone imbalance is absolutely critical to managing thyroid-induced hypertension.
