Can thyroid cause dizziness balance problems?

For the past few months, I've been feeling dizzy sometimes, and occasionally, my balance feels a bit off. I also have a thyroid condition, so I wanted to ask, can thyroid problems lead to dizziness and issues with balance?

From what I've learned dealing with my own hormonal issues like PCOS, thyroid imbalances can definitely affect your inner ear or blood pressure, causing dizziness. Since hormone levels are tricky, please don't self-diagnose and instead let an endocrinologist guide you safely.

Yes, dizziness is a known symptom of both hyper and hypothyroidism. If you are having balance problems, it's not safe to ignore it, especially while driving or commuting. Book a quick lab test for thyroid and visit a general physician this weekend to get a realistic diagnosis.

In my fifty-odd years, I have seen many family members face this. Yes, thyroid fluctuations can make you feel lightheaded and unstable on your feet. Don't worry, once the doctor starts you on a tiny daily pill to balance your thyroid, this dizziness usually fades away completely.

I have been dealing with thyroid issues for six years, and I definitely experienced severe dizziness when my dosage was off. It is so important to get regular blood tests every few months and follow up with your doctor to make sure your medication levels are absolutely correct.

Yes, an underactive or overactive thyroid can affect your cardiovascular system and cause blood pressure drops, leading to dizziness and balance issues. It's a very common symptom we see. I'd highly suggest getting a full thyroid panel and showing it to a general physician soon.

Dizziness can happen due to thyroid issues, but as a diabetic, I also know it can be a sign of low blood sugar or blood pressure fluctuations. Make sure you are eating regular, balanced meals and get a full checkup done to see exactly what is causing this imbalance.
