Can the hospital help with tooth pain?

My toothache is really unbearable right now, and my regular dentist's office is closed. I don't want to wait until morning. Can a general hospital emergency department actually help with severe tooth pain, or should I look for an emergency dental clinic?

Bro, if you have a massive hospital nearby, just walk in. Most big hospitals have a dental wing that can handle root canals or extractions. If it's late night, their emergency department will at least give you painkiller injections or meds to help you sleep till the dentist arrives.

Yes, absolutely! Last month my wisdom tooth started aching horribly at 2 AM and I panicked thinking no one could help. I went to a big multi-specialty hospital's emergency room, and they had an on-call dentist who gave me immediate pain relief. It's totally normal to go there for urgent dental pain.

Haan na, hospital bilkul help kar sakta hai! Actually, almost all big hospitals have dental departments these days. Agar emergency hai toh emergency ward wale temporary relief de denge, ho na. So don't suffer in pain, bas chale jao doctor ke paas.

At this age, toothaches are like unwanted guests that show up without warning. Yes, hospitals with dental OPDs can easily fix you up. Don't sit at home holding your jaw and crying like I did before finally accepting that only a doctor can save my tooth!

I am actually facing this tooth pain for the first time and I am a bit scared to go to a big hospital. Do they do dental checkups in the general emergency department, or do I have to book a separate ticket for the dental wing? If anyone knows, please guide me.

If you are tight on time, call ahead to a nearby hospital to check if their dental OPD is open or if they have an on-call dentist. Going straight to a hospital is much faster than waiting for a private clinic appointment during busy working hours. They will diagnose and treat it quickly.

Yes, hospital dental departments are great, and if you go to a government or charitable hospital, the dental treatment and X-rays will cost you almost nothing compared to private clinics. Just plan to go early in the morning to avoid long OPD queues and get your token on time.

I tried ginger juice, clove oil, and what-not for three days, but the pain just wouldn't budge. Finally, I went to the local civil hospital and they cleaned the infection in one go. Sometimes, home tips fail and you just need proper hospital equipment and doctor's medicines.

In our younger days, we had to search for specific dental clinics, but nowadays modern hospitals have excellent dental setups. I had a severe tooth infection last year and the local hospital took care of it wonderfully. Don't worry, they will manage your pain well.

For temporary relief at home, you can press a clove near the aching tooth or do a warm salt-water rinse. But if the pain is severe or your cheek is swollen, these home remedies won't cure the root infection. You must visit a hospital or dental clinic to get proper medical treatment.

Yes, they can. Most major tertiary care hospitals have dedicated dental departments that handle everything from emergency tooth extractions to trauma. If you have severe swelling or a fever along with the pain, definitely go to a hospital ER instead of a local clinic.
