Can the emergency room help with tooth pain?

I have had really bad tooth pain since last night, and I can't get an appointment with my dentist for a few days. The pain is unbearable. Can I go to the emergency room for tooth pain, or will they not be able to help?

My grandmother used to tell me to put a clove on the tooth, but for severe pain, emergency rooms can help by giving pain relief injections or antibiotics if there is a bad infection. However, they cannot do dental fillings or extractions. For that, you must visit a dentist the next morning.

If you go to the ER, they will mostly give you painkiller medicine to manage the swelling. Avoid eating very hot or sweet foods right now as it makes the nerve pain much worse. Eat simple, lukewarm khichdi and see a dentist as soon as possible.

Hey! Yes, the ER can prescribe strong pain relievers or antibiotics if you have a severe dental abscess or swelling. They don't have dentists on duty for regular treatments, but they can keep the pain in control until you can get to a dental clinic.

Beta, don't suffer in pain all night. If the pain is unbearable and your face is swelling, go to the emergency room. They will give you medicine to calm the pain down immediately. Tomorrow morning you can comfortably go to your regular dentist.

Man, tooth pain at 3 AM is the absolute worst, I haven't slept a wink because of it before! The ER will only give you a temporary painkiller shot to help you get through the night. They won't pull the tooth out, so you still have to find a dentist when the sun comes up.
