Can teething cause diarrhea and vomiting?

My 6-month-old has been extremely irritable, throwing up, and having very watery stools. Everyone says it's just teething. Can teething actually cause both diarrhea and vomiting?

Oh, please be very careful! Diarrhea and vomiting can make a small baby dehydrate so quickly, and it's really scary to watch. It might not be just teething, but a stomach bug, so please contact your pediatrician immediately to keep the baby safe.

Listen, teething does not cause vomiting and loose motions. The kid is putting dirty things in their mouth because their gums are itching, leading to a stomach infection. Stop waiting, give them some ORS, and take them to a doctor right away.

Do not assume this is just teething. My infant had severe vomiting and diarrhea which we ignored thinking it was just a tooth coming in, and he had to be hospitalized for severe dehydration. Please take the baby to a doctor immediately for proper care.

I totally understand how stressful it is when your baby is throwing up. While clean, cold washcloths help soothe teething gums, vomiting and diarrhea mean their stomach is upset. Keep giving them small, frequent sips of ORS or rice water, and definitely consult a doctor.

Just like managing any medical condition requires regular follow-ups, pediatric symptoms like vomiting need proper doctor supervision. Don't self-diagnose this as teething. Get a professional opinion to ensure the baby's digestive health is on track.

During these testing times when your little one is unwell, try to keep a calm and positive heart. Ensure they are kept clean and hydrated, and seek guidance from a medical healer to ease their physical discomfort. May they heal quickly.
