Can tea cause cavities?

I drink a lot of chai throughout the day, often with sugar. My dentist recently told me I have a few small cavities forming. Can drinking a lot of tea, even with milk, contribute to cavities?

Yes, especially if you add sugar to it or drink it multiple times a day like I used to. I ignored my mild toothache and ended up needing a painful root canal treatment. Please don't take dental health lightly, visit a dentist if you feel sensitivity.

Plain tea won't hurt, but the sweet sugary chai we love definitely can! Just rinse your mouth with water after drinking tea. It keeps your teeth happy and cavity-free while you enjoy your daily cup.

It's the added sugar and milk in our regular chai that feeds cavity-causing bacteria. Between meetings, I've switched to black tea or just make sure to rinse my mouth quickly at the office sink. It's a quick, practical habit to protect your teeth.

Omg yes, if you drink like four cups of sweet tapri chai daily during exams like me, it's bad for your teeth. I started drinking water right after having tea so the sugar doesn't sit on my teeth. Super simple trick!

Hey, don't stress too much about giving up your favorite chai! Tea itself doesn't cause cavities, it's just the sugar we load into it. Try cutting down the sugar slightly and make sure to brush twice a day, you'll be completely fine.

Black or green tea naturally contains fluoride which actually helps teeth, but adding processed sugar ruins that benefit. Try using organic stevia or just have it unsweetened. Always consult your dentist if you already have visible enamel decay.

Dekho, chai se problem nahi hai, usme jo dher saari cheeni dalte ho usse hoti hai silsila shuru. Din bhar me 5 baar chai piyoge toh dant kharab honge hi. Chai thodi kam karo aur khane ke baad kulla karna shuru karo.

Haan na, bina cheeni ki chai toh humse pi nahi jati, isiliye cavities ka dar rehta hai. But actually, plain green tea is good for teeth. Aap bas chai peene ke baad thoda sa paani se kulla kar lo, simple habit hai.

Yes, frequent sipping of sweet tea keeps the mouth acidic, which weakens tooth enamel over time. I always advise my family to drink a glass of water after their tea. It's a very simple and effective way to protect your teeth in the long run.

I literally can't survive without my morning sweet ginger chai and biscuits! But yeah, that sugar combo is a playground for cavities. I just make sure to rinse properly or chew sugar-free gum afterward so I can keep enjoying my tea guilt-free.
