Can tanning help psoriasis?

My psoriasis flares up quite often, and it's really frustrating. I saw a post online suggesting that tanning, or UV light therapy, can help clear up the patches. Is this a recommended treatment for psoriasis, or is it risky?

Haan, controlled sunlight help toh karta hai, but directly dhoop mein black hone tak baithna is not good na. Sweat and sunburn can actually trigger a new flare-up called the Koebner phenomenon. Safe side ke liye, apne doctor se medical phototherapy ke baare mein pucho.

I have tried everything from neem paste to coconut oil for my skin patches. A little bit of morning sun for ten minutes definitely helped soothe my scaling, but staying out in the harsh sun to get a tan only made the skin raw and itchy. Be gentle with your body and don't overexpose it.

I read online that UV light helps psoriasis, but then I started overthinking if natural tanning might cause skin cancer instead. It is so stressful to balance! Maybe we should just stick to the ointments prescribed by the dermatologist rather than taking risks under the open sun.

I recently went through a terrible psoriasis flare-up and my doctor actually prescribed narrow-band UVB phototherapy sessions at the clinic. It worked wonders for clearing my skin, but he strictly warned me against natural sun tanning because sunburns can make psoriasis much worse. Go for professional medical light therapy instead.

I once ignored my spreading red patches and tried to treat them myself with sunbeds and random oils, which resulted in a massive, painful infection. Please don't experiment with self-tanning for psoriasis. Go straight to a qualified dermatologist and get a proper medical treatment plan.

The morning sun has beautiful healing energy, and spending five minutes in its gentle warmth can soothe both the mind and the skin. But we must avoid extreme habits like tanning, which only strain the body. Stay positive, keep your stress low, and let your skin heal naturally.

In my experience, gentle morning sunlight combined with daily pranayama can help reduce skin scaling by calming the immune system. However, excessive sunbathing or tanning will only aggravate the 'pitta' in your body, leading to more irritation. Treat your body with gentleness.
