Can tachycardia cause a heart attack?

My doctor recently told me I have tachycardia, and I've been reading up on it. I got worried when I saw discussions linking it to serious heart problems. Does having tachycardia mean I'm at a higher risk of a heart attack?

Getting your heart racing can be scary, but instead of assuming the worst, plan your tests. An ECG and Echo can cost around 2000 to 3000 rupees in a decent lab, which is worth it for peace of mind. Check for packages online to save some money and get a clear picture.

I completely understand how terrifying it feels when your heart suddenly starts racing like crazy out of nowhere. You feel like you are going to die right then and there. Please know you are not alone in this fear, and it is okay to feel scared, but do let a cardiologist reassure you.

Ghabraiye mat, beta. Sometimes heavy gas or taking too much tension can make the heart beat very fast. Eat light food on time, drink plenty of water, and ask your family doctor about it once so that you can remain peaceful.

Sometimes a fast heart rate is just due to too much strong tea, stress, or lack of sleep. Try drinking a glass of cold water and sitting in a cool room first to see if it settles. If it happens frequently, just book a simple consultation with a local doctor instead of worrying.

Any kind of abnormal heart rhythm needs a proper medical evaluation immediately. You should not guess or read online when it comes to the heart. If you ever feel sudden chest pain, extreme sweating, or shortness of breath with a fast heartbeat, please go to an emergency room without delaying.

At 50, even climbing two flights of stairs makes my heart beat like I'm running a marathon! Tachycardia just means a fast heart rate, not necessarily a heart attack, but my doctor says we shouldn't let it run wild. Better to get it checked so you don't keep stressing your poor heart.

I just went through this last month! My heart rate would touch 140 while just sitting. It turned out to be sinus tachycardia triggered by severe dehydration and vitamin deficiency, not a heart attack risk. Getting basic blood tests and talking to a cardiologist really cleared everything up.
