Can't stand up straight stomach pain?

Since morning, I've had this really sharp stomach pain that gets much worse if I try to stand up straight. I have to bend forward just to walk or sit down. What could be causing such intense pain in my stomach?

When I had severe localized pain that made it impossible to stand, my doctor explained that it could be acute appendicitis or a severe spasm. He told me that pain in the lower right abdomen which increases on pressure is a major warning sign. You need an ultrasound scan immediately to know the exact cause.

I just went through this exact same thing last week and ended up in the emergency room. It turned out to be a severe kidney stone that was blocking the urinary tract. Don't wait for it to get worse or try home remedies, get an ultrasound done immediately.

I totally get it, stomach pain that bends you in half is absolutely agonizing and very scary. Please don't suffer in silence or try to bear it. Have someone drive you to the nearest clinic right away so they can give you an injection to ease the pain safely.

If you can't even stand up straight, it is a clear red flag. Don't waste time reading things online or waiting for it to pass. Head to the nearest hospital casualty or emergency room right away; this needs an immediate physical examination.

Yaar, this sounds actually really serious, please don't sit at home. Normal gas pain doesn't make you double over like this. Call a cab and go to a doc immediately, it could be appendicitis or some infection. Take care yaar.

In my long life, I have seen that severe abdominal pain that prevents standing is never something to take lightly. Often it is just severe colic, but sometimes it requires urgent attention. Do not panic, but please let a qualified physician evaluate you today.

My son had this exact issue last year where he couldn't stand straight, and it turned out to be a severe bowel infection. Please lay down on your side with your knees tucked towards your chest to relieve the pressure slightly, and go to the clinic immediately.

With my high blood pressure, severe pain like this causes my readings to shoot up immediately, which is risky. Please avoid self-medicating with strong painkillers as they can harm your kidneys and stomach lining. Go to a hospital and get a proper checkup.

When you have severe pain, please stop eating all solid foods and dairy immediately. Even light vegetarian food like khichdi should wait until you know what is causing the pain. Keep yourself hydrated with small sips of warm water, but see a doctor first.

As a diabetic, I have to be extremely careful with sudden abdominal pain as it can sometimes indicate diabetic ketoacidosis or pancreatitis. Please do not consume any sugary juices or local mixtures to settle your stomach. Get your blood sugar checked along with an urgent doctor's consultation.
