Can't sleep without melatonin?

I started taking melatonin a while ago to help regulate my sleep schedule, and it worked wonders initially. But now, if I miss a dose, I just can't fall asleep at all. I feel quite dependent on it and want to know how to slowly stop.

Relying on supplements can make our pineal gland lazy over time. I suggest practicing 10 minutes of sheetali pranayama or yoga nidra before bed. It gently triggers the body's natural sleep hormones without needing external pills.

I had to taper off melatonin because it was making me groggy for morning client meetings. I strictly cut off all blue screens after 9 PM, which naturally helped my body start winding down. It took about a week, but it works.

Don't worry, you can definitely train your brain to sleep naturally again. Try getting some early morning sunlight for 15 minutes, as it naturally boosts your night-time melatonin production. Wishing you sweet dreams tonight.

I used to take melatonin gummies every single night and felt like I was addicted. I started reducing the dose slowly over a week instead of stopping cold turkey, and had warm chamomile tea instead. It really helped ease the transition.

If you want to stop the pills, try drinking warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg and crushed almonds before bed. These ingredients naturally contain compounds that support sleep. Be patient, as natural remedies take a few days to show results.
