Can't sleep with sore throat?

My throat is really sore and scratchy, especially when I lie down in bed. Every time I try to sleep, the pain and discomfort just get worse and worse. I need some relief so I can finally get some proper rest tonight.

Beta, do warm saltwater gargles 3-4 times a day, especially once right before sleeping. It reduces the swelling and clears the throat. Also, keep your head elevated with an extra pillow to prevent throat irritation.

I get sore throats easily and they disrupt my sleep completely, which is stressful because sleep is so vital for my PCOS management. I usually stick to drinking warm water with a bit of ginger, but if you have a fever or high pain, do consult a doctor.

Avoid any dairy or very sweet things at night as they can increase mucus production and irritate your throat further. Warm water with lemon and honey, or a simple warm vegetable broth, is much gentler and helps you rest better.

Actually, sleeping with a dry throat is the worst, yaar. I keep a flask of warm water right next to my bed and take small sips whenever I wake up. It really helps soothe the itchiness instantly.

Sore throats are incredibly annoying at night. Try to keep your room humidified and rest as much as you can. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
