Can't sleep toothache?

My toothache started yesterday, and it's become so bad that I can't sleep at all at night. The throbbing pain is constant, and no position feels comfortable. I'm seeing the dentist tomorrow, but I really need some relief for tonight.

Oh god, tooth pain at night is the absolute worst because there is no distraction. I always worry it is a deep infection that might spread, which makes me sleep even less. Please keep your head elevated with two pillows to reduce the throbbing sensation.

Do a warm saltwater rinse right away, it really helps clean the area and numbs the pain temporarily. You can also press a cold compress against your cheek. It is a simple, cost-free way to get enough relief so you can at least get some sleep.

I had a severe root canal issue last year that kept me up all night. Keeping a clove or a tiny drop of clove oil on the painful tooth helps immensely to dull the nerve pain. But remember, this is just a temporary fix; you must see a dentist tomorrow.

Actually, toothache always doubles up at night, yaar. When we lie down, more blood flows to the head which increases the pressure on the tooth. Try to prop yourself up and sleep in a semi-sitting position tonight.

Agree with the clove tip, it really works. Avoid eating or drinking anything hot or sweet right now as it triggers the nerve.

Dude, I had this last week before my exams and it was pure torture. I literally kept an ice pack on my face all night. Just try not to chew from that side and go to the dental clinic first thing tomorrow.

Don't try to pull through the night without pain relief if it is affecting your next day's work. Take a safe painkiller if your doctor has prescribed one in the past, and book an emergency dental appointment for the morning. Sleep is crucial.
