Can't sleep restless legs?

My legs feel so restless at night, especially when I lie down in bed. It's like they have a mind of their own and I just have to move them constantly. This makes it almost impossible to get proper sleep. It's been happening for a few months now.

I had terrible restless legs and found out my ferritin (iron) levels were extremely low. Once my doctor put me on iron supplements, the crawling sensation stopped completely. Try getting your iron, B12, and vitamin D checked immediately.

To manage my restless legs on busy workdays, I do a quick 10-minute calf stretch right before sleeping. A warm shower also helps calm the nerves so I can actually get some rest. Don't waste time suffering, just make these quick adjustments.

Beta, massaged warm mustard oil or sesame oil on your soles and calves before going to sleep can bring great relief. It improves the blood circulation in the lower body. But do consult a doctor if the pain is too severe or doesn't go away.

My legs literally start doing the bhangra the moment I try to sleep! It is so annoying when you want to rest but your legs want to run a marathon. Sticking my feet out of the blanket into the cold air sometimes tricks them into behaving.

When my thyroid levels fluctuated, my restless leg syndrome became so much worse. I had to get my TSH levels tested and adjust my daily medication dose with my endocrinologist. Regular blood tests are really necessary to keep this in check.

I was reading that restless legs can be linked to magnesium deficiency as well as nerve signals. Many people seem to benefit from magnesium spray or supplements, but obviously, it's best to confirm with a doctor before taking anything new.
