Can't sleep but exhausted?

Pura din kaam kar ke bahut thak jaata hoon, par jaise hi bed par jaata hoon, neend gayab ho jaati hai. Meri body toh exhausted hai, par mind chalta rehta hai. Bahut frustrating hai.

Sometimes when you are overly tired, your nervous system gets too excited to rest. Try washing your feet with warm water and drinking warm chamomile tea, but do see a doctor if this tiredness is daily.

Being exhausted but unable to sleep is often a sign of high cortisol or stress levels. While lifestyle adjustments like limiting screen time help, getting a doctor's advice is always the best way forward.

If you are too tired to sleep, your mind is probably still running on work mode. I set a hard stop for screens at 9 PM and read a paper book. It signals the brain to finally switch off.

At my age, I have learned that forcing yourself to sleep when exhausted never works. Just lie down quietly, keep your eyes closed, and let your body rest without worrying about sleeping.

Check your caffeine intake in the afternoon. Even if you feel exhausted, that late coffee at 5 PM stays in your blood and prevents your brain from actually falling asleep.

Stop looking at the clock every ten minutes, it only increases your frustration. Put the phone in another room and just let your body wind down naturally.

I always panic when I am exhausted but can't sleep, thinking my body is failing. If you feel like this often, maybe get a basic checkup done just for peace of mind so you don't keep worrying.
