Can't hear out of one ear no pain?

Suddenly, I can't hear out of my left ear properly. It feels muffled, like there's water in it, but there's no pain or discomfort at all. What could cause me to not hear out of one ear with no pain?

I track my daily health metrics, and sudden sensory changes like this are something you shouldn't ignore. It could be a simple ear canal block or fluid buildup, but checking with an ENT is the safest route to prevent any permanent damage.

Having PCOS has taught me to always consult a doctor instead of guessing what's wrong with my body. Sudden hearing loss can be due to wax buildup or even a mild nerve issue, so please don't poke anything inside your ear and visit an ENT specialist.

Oh no, this sounds really scary. I woke up with a slightly blocked ear yesterday too and I've been panicking. Did your hearing go away suddenly, and has anyone else recovered from this?

Don't panic, it's very often just a simple ear wax plug or water trapped inside after a shower. However, please promise me you won't use ear buds or safety pins to clean it. Just visit an ENT doctor tomorrow and let them handle it safely.

My son suddenly couldn't hear from his left ear last year with no pain at all, and it turned out to be a deep fluid buildup after a cold. The doctor gave him some drops and nasal spray which cleared it. Please take your ear health seriously and see a doctor.

That muffled feeling in one ear is so annoying! I had this last month and it was just dry wax that the doctor cleared in five minutes. Go get it checked, you'll be hearing perfectly in no time.
