Can't bend over lower back pain?

I've been dealing with lower back pain on and off for a while, but now it's worse. I can't even bend over to pick something up from the floor without immense pain. Is this something serious?

My son got a bad lower back catch from carrying a very heavy college bag and bending suddenly. I made him sleep on a firm mattress and used a hot water bag on his lower back twice a day. It took almost a week to heal, so please give your back some time and rest.

Arey yaar, back pain is the worst because you can't even bend down to pick up your food delivery packet! I had this last month and had to eat sitting completely straight like a school boy. Jokes apart, don't try to force any bending right now, just rest.

I got this exact same back catch while deadlifting at the gym. Honestly, trying to bend over is the biggest mistake you can make right now because it can slip your disc. Keep your back straight, use a good pain spray, and go see a physio if it doesn't get better in two days.

I just recovered from a severe lower back spasm last week where I couldn't even bend to tie my shoes. My doctor put me on muscle relaxants and strictly advised no forward bending or lifting anything from the floor. Rest and gentle pelvic tilts on the bed helped me recover.

Hey buddy, don't stress too much, it's probably just a bad muscle catch from a wrong sleeping posture or sitting too long. Just lie down on a flat surface and don't try to force any stretches today. It should settle down in a day or two, don't worry!

Between my crying baby and this sudden back pain, I feel like I am 90 years old. I dropped my pen on the floor today and just stared at it because bending down was absolutely out of the question. Hot water bags are my only best friend right now.

I know exactly how terrifying it feels when your back suddenly locks up and you can't move, you start worrying if you'll ever walk normally again. It is a very scary feeling, I totally get it. But most of the time it is just a muscle spasm that goes away with basic rest and care.
