Can sunlight cause skin cancer?

My dermatologist keeps emphasizing the importance of sun protection to prevent skin damage. I know excessive sun can be bad, but I'm curious. Can direct sunlight actually cause skin cancer?

Yes, long-term exposure to harsh UV rays can cause skin issues, including skin cancer. Instead of worrying and running for expensive skin biopsy tests later, it is much cheaper to invest in a decent, budget-friendly sunscreen and use an umbrella daily. Prevention is way cheaper than cure.

Yes, chronic sun exposure can cause skin cancer. Just like how I manage my high BP through regular checkups and a healthy lifestyle, we must protect our skin daily. Wear a hat, use sunscreen, and consult a skin specialist yearly for a routine check of your skin.

According to my dermatologist, chronic unprotected exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun is the primary cause of non-melanoma skin cancers. She advised me to always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, even on cloudy days, and to get any changing moles checked immediately.

Applying fresh aloe vera is great to soothe sun damage, but sunlight is a major factor in skin cancer, which is a serious condition. If you notice any unusual, growing, or bleeding spots on your skin, please don't rely on home tips and get it checked by a specialist doctor immediately.

I read about how harsh sunlight can cause skin cancer and now I feel nervous every time I get a slight tan or a new mole. Does anyone else get super anxious about being in the sun, and how do you manage to stay calm while stepping out?

Haan bhai, bilkul ho sakta hai agar bina dhoop se bache ghanto tak bahar ghumoge. Sun ke UV rays skin cells ko damage karte hain na. Isiliye dhoop me nikalte waqt full sleeves pehno aur sunscreen lagana mat bhulo, simple baat hai.

Oh God, I constantly worry about this every time I step out in the sun! Yes, UV rays can cause skin cancer, which makes me super anxious about any new freckle. But keeping yourself covered and using proper sun protection really helps reduce the risk, so let's try to stick to that.
