Can strokes cause vomiting?

Kal raat se my father is feeling very uneasy, and he has vomited a couple of times. He had a minor stroke last year. Is it possible for strokes to cause vomiting, or should we be looking for something else?

Oh my god, yes, vomiting can happen, especially if the stroke affects the brainstem or cerebellum. It's really scary because people might confuse it with simple food poisoning or gastric issues. Please don't ignore this, especially if there is any dizziness or weakness along with it.

Normally I would suggest ginger juice or lemon water for vomiting, but if you suspect a stroke, please do not give them anything to eat or drink. They could choke if their swallowing reflex is weak. Just focus on getting them to a doctor as fast as possible.

Yes, when my brother had a stroke, he suddenly started vomiting and felt highly dizzy. We initially thought it was just acidity, but luckily we rushed him to the hospital in time. Sudden vomiting combined with neurological signs is a major red flag, so act fast.

Absolutely, increased pressure in the brain during a stroke can trigger severe nausea and vomiting. You should go straight to a well-equipped hospital with a proper emergency wing. Ask the doctor clearly about what is causing it and request an immediate CT scan.

I recently survived a minor stroke and honestly, severe nausea and vomiting were my first symptoms before my balance went off. I thought it was just a bad stomach upset until my speech got slurred. Please don't wait for other symptoms to show up, head to the ER.

I didn't know this was possible, I thought strokes only caused paralysis or speech issues. Is the vomiting very sudden, or does it happen gradually? I hope whoever you are asking for is safe and getting proper medical attention right now.
