Can stress contribute to a stroke?

My husband recently had a mild stroke, and the doctors said his high blood pressure was a major factor. He's always been a very stressed person. I'm wondering if all that constant stress could have contributed to his stroke.

In our family, we always believe that mental peace keeps major illnesses away, but when it comes to something as serious as a stroke, we must look at medical facts. Stress can spike your blood pressure suddenly. Please get regular BP checks and consult a cardiologist.

High stress keeps our body in a constant state of fight-or-flight, which puts immense pressure on our cardiovascular system. Practicing regular pranayama and deep meditation helps lower the heart rate and relaxes the blood vessels naturally.

Yes, chronic stress is really bad for our blood vessels and can indirectly contribute to such serious conditions. Let's make it a habit to laugh more and worry less! 🌸 Take small breaks from work and do things that make you happy.

When my husband had a mild health scare due to sudden high blood pressure, the doctor told us how chronic worry stiffens the arteries. Since then, we have made lifestyle changes as a family. Please don't ignore physical symptoms of stress like headaches or chest heaviness.

This is not something to take lightly or discuss casually online. If you are experiencing sudden numbness, slurred speech, or heavy headaches along with stress, please go to a hospital emergency room immediately. Safety should always come first.
