Can stress cause stomach pain?

My boss has been really difficult this past month, and I've been getting dull stomach pain almost daily. It's not severe, but constant. I'm wondering if this pain is related to all the office stress.

Absolutely, our gut and brain are directly connected. I get sharp cramps whenever a major project pitch is due. If it persists for more than a couple of days, just go see a gastroenterologist instead of guessing.

Yes, stress causes acidity and spasms. Stick to light, non-spicy vegetarian meals like khichdi or curd rice during these phases, and avoid heavy fried food which makes the stomach lining even more irritated.

My doctor told me that stress triggers the release of hormones like cortisol, which slow down digestion and increase stomach acid, leading to pain. If the pain is severe or accompanied by fever, you must get it checked.

Stress really impacts gut motility. While physical exercise like a light walk can help release tension, make sure you aren't doing heavy core workouts when your stomach is actively hurting. Focus on hydration first.

Dude, yes! Every time exam results are about to come, my stomach starts aching like crazy. It is definitely real. Usually, drinking some cold milk or just relaxing helps it go away.

I used to suffer from severe stomach cramps due to chronic work anxiety. The most realistic solution is finding a way to wind down, drinking warm fennel water, and having early dinners. Don't let stress ruin your digestion.

I completely understand what you are feeling. People often tell us 'it is just in your head,' but the physical pain in your gut is very real and exhausting. Be gentle with yourself and take a break.
