Can stress cause high blood sugar levels in non diabetics?

My last blood test showed my sugar levels were a bit high, even though I'm not diabetic. The doctor asked if I've been under a lot of stress. Can stress really cause high blood sugar levels in people who don't have diabetes?

Honestly, between my terrible sleep schedule and late-night work stress, my body is probably running on pure cortisol. My doctor warned me that stress can spike blood sugars even if you don't have diabetes. I really need to start sleeping instead of doomscrolling!

Omg yes, my biology teacher told us that stress hormones literally block insulin. It's crazy how exam stress can actually mess with our blood chemistry. I guess we all need to chill out a bit more.

Yes, stress raises cortisol which directly increases glucose levels. Drinking plenty of water and walking after meals can help bring it down.

Yes, stress-induced hyperglycemia is a real medical thing. I suggest going to a proper hospital and getting an HbA1c test done, which shows your average sugar over 3 months. Discuss the reports clearly with a physician to understand your risk.

Our state of mind directly impacts our endocrine system. When we are constantly stressed, the body remains in a fight-or-flight state, keeping blood sugar high. Daily practice of pranayama and gentle walking can help calm your nervous system beautifully.

When stress spikes, the liver releases extra glucose for energy. It is very important to avoid sugary comfort foods and eat fiber-rich vegetarian meals like oats and green veggies during stressful times. Do monitor your levels with a doctor.

Yes, stress can definitely raise blood sugar levels temporarily because of stress hormones. Please try to take some time for yourself to relax, and get your fasting sugar checked just to be safe.

Managing family and teenagers is enough to spike anyone's sugars! Stress releases hormones that prevent insulin from doing its job, even in normal people. Just take a deep breath, ignore the drama, and get a routine checkup done.

I read about this online and got so anxious because my job is super stressful and I eat a lot of sweets when I am tense. Stress definitely messes with your metabolism. Please don't worry, but do get a simple blood test done to clear your doubts.

During my career, I saw many young colleagues getting high sugar readings during stressful projects, which returned to normal once they rested. Don't worry too much, but treat it as a warning sign to change your lifestyle. Balance your work and health.

In our old days, we knew that peace of mind is the greatest wealth. Stress burns out your body's energy and disturbs the blood balance. Drink warm methi seed water and keep your mind calm, but do see a doctor if the levels remain high.

Haan na, stress se body poori upset ho jaati hai. Even if you don't have diabetes, tension can make your sugar levels jump. Thoda mind fresh rakha karo, ho na, sab control mein aa jayega.
