Can stress cause heart pain?

Sometimes when I'm really tensed about work, I feel a strange discomfort or mild pain around my heart area. My friend said it could be 'stress-related heart pain.' Is that an actual thing, or should I be consulting a specialist?

I have been feeling this sharp squeeze in my chest lately during stressful days. Has anyone else felt this? It makes me so anxious thinking it is a heart issue, and that anxiety makes the pain even worse.

I had a similar sharp pain during my exam week, and I panicked thinking it was my heart. Turns out it was just bad acidity and muscle tightness from sitting in one place. But honestly, chest pain is serious, so don't take it lightly.

At my age, I have realized that work tension can make your chest feel very heavy. But 'heart pain' can be a warning sign of blockages, especially if you have high BP. Please visit a cardiologist immediately to be safe, don't just sit at home.

Hormonal issues like thyroid combined with stress can cause heart palpitations and chest tightness. Please get a full cardiac checkup and thyroid panel done to see what is going on. Do not wait or try to manage this with home remedies.

My father always says that peace of mind keeps the heart healthy, but any discomfort in the chest area should never be neglected. While stress can cause muscle spasms or acidity, please go to a hospital immediately for an ECG. It is always better to let a doctor confirm.

Stress can definitely mimic heart pain due to muscle tension or panic attacks, but you cannot differentiate it yourself. If you are experiencing chest pain, jaw pain, or breathlessness, go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not risk your life.
