Can stress and anxiety cause chest pain?

Sometimes when I'm really stressed with studies, I get this sharp pain in my chest. I worry a lot about my heart, but could this just be due to stress and anxiety?

Honestly, sometimes I get stressed and eat a whole plate of spicy biryani, and then the acidity gives me crazy chest pain. Anxiety can definitely cause chest tightness too. But look, if it is a heavy, crushing pain, skip the home remedies and go to a doctor immediately.

Yes, panic attacks often cause very sharp chest pain due to muscle tension. It's best to consult a doctor to rule out any actual cardiac issues first.

Every time my anxiety spikes, my chest feels so heavy and tight, and I start panicking that it is a heart issue. Does this happen to anyone else? It is so scary because the panic just makes the tightness worse.

Yes, it really can! Anxiety makes us breathe very fast, which tenses up the chest muscles and causes pain. Try to do some slow deep breathing and listen to your favorite calm music, it really helps to relax.

Anxiety can mimic cardiac pain because of muscle spasms in the rib cage area. While regular cardio and physical fitness keep your heart strong, please get any unexplained chest pain checked by a medical professional to be completely safe.

Haan babu, jab mann me bahut chinta hoti hai toh chhati me bhari-pan lagne lagta hai. Par agar dard bahut tez ho aur saans lene me takleef ho, toh ghar pe mat baithiye. Turant bade hospital ke doctor ko dikhayiye.

My smartwatch showed my heart rate spiking to 120 bpm just sitting at my desk during a stressful meeting, and my chest felt tight. While tech is good for tracking trends, any sudden or severe chest pain radiating to your jaw or arm needs immediate emergency medical attention.
