Can stress and anxiety cause body pain?

I often wake up feeling sore all over, and ghar pe bhi kaafi tension chal rahi hai these days. Can stress and anxiety manifest as a generalized body pain?

Our bodies are a reflection of what we hold in our minds. When you carry too much worry, the muscles naturally tighten up and cause aches. Pray, meditate, and keep a peaceful heart to help your body heal naturally.

Actually yaar, stress does crazy things to the body. Whenever my project deadlines are near, my shoulders and neck start paining like anything. It is just your muscles reacting to the constant mental pressure, so try to take some breaks.

I get these weird, dull aches all over my arms and legs whenever I am feeling anxious or down. Does anyone else experience this too? Sometimes I worry it is something much worse, which just increases my anxiety.

Yeah, it totally does. I used to wake up with a sore body everyday when I was highly stressed about my job. I thought I was getting sick, but my doctor said it was just physical exhaustion from constant mental worry. Sleeping on time really helped.

I was reading about this online and apparently, stress causes your body to release inflammatory chemicals, which can cause muscle pain. It's fascinating how closely linked our brain and muscles are. Definitely makes sense why we feel so achy when worried.

At this point in my life, a loud noise is enough to give me a backache! Stress absolutely causes body pain because we sit all tensed up without realizing it. A hot bath and staying away from the news works wonders for me.

With PCOS, stress already messes up my hormones, and the resulting muscle aches can be quite bad. I try not to ignore body pain, but also realize it is often linked to my mental state. It might be good to get a basic checkup just to be safe.
