Can stress alone cause a heart attack?

I've been under a lot of emotional and financial stress lately, and I sometimes feel my chest tightening. I'm worried, can severe stress on its own cause a heart attack?

Stress might not directly cause it alone, but it creates huge complications in the body, just like it messes with my thyroid levels. It is always better to get regular blood work and cardiovascular checkups done. Don't guess, let a doctor look at your actual health reports.

My son goes through severe panic attacks that feel like heart issues, so we had to get him checked thoroughly. Stress can mimic these dangerous symptoms or put too much pressure on your heart. Please get a proper medical evaluation to rule out any real underlying issues.

Actually yaar, extreme stress can put crazy pressure on your heart, but usually, there are other hidden issues too. You cannot ignore chest tightness thinking it is just office tension. Just go to a proper clinic and get an ECG done to be safe.

I used to have severe chest pain when I was highly stressed at work and feared it was a heart attack. After consulting a cardiologist, it turned out to be just severe acidity and anxiety. Take a deep breath, but definitely get checked once to clear your mind.

My doctor explained that chronic stress elevates cortisol and adrenaline, which can damage blood vessels over time. However, a sudden heart attack usually involves a buildup of plaque in the arteries. If you are experiencing sudden, severe chest pain or pressure, please go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

As someone managing high blood pressure, I know how fast stress spikes my readings. While stress alone might not cause a sudden attack, it acts as a huge trigger if your arteries are already strained. Do keep a regular track of your BP and see a physician.
