My daughter was diagnosed with strep throat a couple of days ago. She's complaining a lot about ear pain now; can strep throat actually cause her ears to hurt?

Yes, the throat and ear share the same nerve pathways, so deep inflammation in the throat often reflects as ear pain. When I had this, taking warm steam and practicing quiet, gentle breathing helped ease the pressure. Please let a doctor guide you with the proper treatment for the infection.

Yes, strep throat can cause ear pain, as the swelling in the Eustachian tube connects them. I try to be very careful with infections as physical stress can flare up my hormonal issues. I would suggest speaking to a physician to get it cleared up safely with the right medication.

Strep throat inflammation can easily radiate to your ears because they are connected. While you are recovering, stick to warm, soothing vegetable broths and soft khichdi, and avoid sour or very cold foods which can irritate the throat further. Make sure to visit your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai yaar. Gale ka infection bahut easily kaan tak pahunch jata hai aur heavy feeling hoti hai na. Isko ignore mat karo aur jaldi se doctor se checkup karwa lo, unki advice se hi thik hoga.

Please go get it checked immediately. I ignored my strep throat and the radiating ear pain, thinking it was just a regular cold, and the infection spread and became much worse to treat later. A timely visit to the doctor and a simple course of antibiotics can save you from a lot of unnecessary pain.

My 8-year-old was complaining of sharp ear pain last month, and we thought it was an ear infection, but the pediatrician diagnosed it as strep throat. The pain goes up to the ears because of the shared nerves. Please take your child or yourself to the doctor; they will likely need antibiotics to clear it.

In all my years, I have seen that a bad throat always brings some ear ache along with it, as they are close neighbors inside. Don't worry, it is a very common symptom and goes away once the throat infection is cured. Do get a proper prescription from your doctor to treat it properly.
