Can someone with asthma be drafted?

My brother wants to join the armed forces, but he has mild asthma. He's worried it might prevent him from joining. Can someone with asthma be drafted into military service, or are there strict regulations against it?

In most countries with a draft, chronic issues like asthma or high blood pressure usually disqualify you. They check your medical history and fitness levels very strictly during the screening anyway.

Haan, military fit logo ko hi leti hai na. Asthma walo ko toh high altitude aur dust mein bohot problem hogi, isliye mostly reject hi kar dete hain medical test mein.

Generally, active asthma is a disqualifying medical condition for military service because dust and extreme physical stress can trigger severe attacks. It is always best to consult a military medical board or your doctor for exact guidelines.

I had severe breathing complications during a dusty outdoor trip once, so I know how risky it is. Military training is extremely intense, so you must get a proper lung function test from a pulmonologist before even thinking about it.

Severe chronic conditions like asthma or insulin-dependent diabetes are generally not accepted for active draft duties. They require strict daily management which isn't always possible in combat zones.

I was trying to clear my physicals recently but got rejected because of my childhood asthma history. Even if you feel fine now, their spirometry tests are very strict and they usually catch it.
