Can someone have a stroke and not know it?

My father complained of feeling a bit dizzy and weak one day, but then felt fine. Later, during a check-up, the doctor mentioned he might have had a 'mini-stroke'. Can someone actually have a stroke and not even know it happened?

Yes, they are called silent strokes. Sometimes people just experience a brief moment of clumsiness or slight memory lapse and ignore it. I always monitor my sleep and heart rate trends on my smartband to keep an eye on general cardiovascular health.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Log sochte hain ki stroke matlab face hi pura side ho jayega, but chote strokes silent hote hain aur pta bhi nahi chalta. Agar thodi bhi weakness ya numbness lage, toh direct doctor ke paas jao, risk mat lo na.

I used to give my husband garlic water and ginger to keep his BP in check, but when he had a mild dizzy spell and slurred a bit, we didn't wait. Home remedies are good for daily health, but for brain and nerve stuff, you must go to a hospital.

Yes, 'silent strokes' can happen without any major symptoms! People only realize it when they get an MRI done for something else. Always good to get regular physicals done to stay on top of your health! 👍

Eating right and drinking warm water can keep your blood circulation healthy. But remember, if there is sudden numbness in your hand, trouble speaking, or balance loss, do not try any home tricks. Go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

I recently had a mild TIA which is like a warning stroke. I just felt a slight tingling in my left arm for a few minutes and thought I slept on it wrong. Thank god my wife insisted we go to the hospital, because we caught it just in time.

These are called silent cerebral infarctions. They damage tiny areas of brain tissue, so the symptoms aren't instantly noticeable. If there's any sudden change in vision, balance, or grip, please get a professional neurological evaluation.
