Can someone die from asthma?

My neighbor's relative, who had severe asthma, unfortunately passed away last year. I was under the impression that asthma is manageable with medication. Can someone actually die from asthma itself, or is it usually complications from it?

Haan yaar, agar asthma attack bahut zyada severe ho aur timely medical help na mile, toh life threatening ho sakta hai. Isliye doctors hamesha inhaler paas rakhne ko bolte hain na. Isme bilkul laparwahi nahi karni chahiye, safety first hamesha.

My pulmonologist explained that a severe attack can cause status asthmaticus, where the lungs don't respond to standard inhalers, which can be fatal. He stressed the importance of taking daily controller inhalers even when feeling perfectly fine. Please consult a specialist to understand your lung health properly.

Yes, asthma can indeed be fatal if a severe attack is left untreated and the airways close up. That is why it is absolutely critical to have a proper asthma action plan from your doctor. If you ever feel extreme breathlessness or chest tightness, please seek emergency medical care immediately.

While gentle steam inhalation and hot ginger tea can help ease mild daily congestion, asthma is a serious condition that can be fatal if neglected. Natural tips are only for support, never as a replacement for emergency care. If breathing becomes very difficult, please go to the nearest hospital right away.

Yes, it is possible if the attack is highly severe and untreated. I keep a close check on my fitness, but I always tell people that cardio and a good diet only support lung capacity, they don't cure chronic asthma. Never skip your prescribed medical inhalers, especially during seasonal changes.
