I think it can, yes. Dealing with PCOS has taught me how toxins affect our overall inflammation levels, and smoking weed drys out your mouth, which might lead to gum issues. It's probably best to ask a dentist to be sure.

My gums have started bleeding a lot since I started smoking weed, and I am really worried now. Has anyone else experienced their gums swelling or getting painful because of this? What did you do?

Well, unless you want your teeth to pack their bags and leave, yes, weed can cause gum disease! It gives you extreme dry mouth which is a playground for bacteria. Time to friendly up with a toothbrush!

Yes, absolutely. Regular weed smoking reduces saliva production, and without saliva, bacteria destroy your gums and teeth very fast. Brush twice a day, floss, and cut down on the smoking if you care about your smile.

In my younger days, I saw friends who smoked heavily develop loose teeth and severe gum infections much earlier than others. Don't worry too much, but do start taking care of your oral hygiene and reduce the smoking now.

I totally panicked when my gums turned slightly dark and started bleeding, but my dentist reassured me it's very common among smokers and reversible. I got a deep cleaning done and stopped smoking weed, and my gums are perfectly healthy now.

Smoking weed dries the mouth, leading to rapid plaque buildup and gum disease. As a diabetic, I have to be extremely careful with gum infections since they can mess with blood sugar levels, so please keep your mouth clean and see a dentist.

I ignored my dry mouth and ended up with severe periodontitis which required painful gum surgery. Do not take bleeding gums lightly if you smoke weed. Please consult a dentist immediately before the bone starts getting affected.

Yes, it damages gums, and dental treatments like root canals and scaling are very expensive these days. Better to spend 300 rupees on a dental checkup now and quit weed rather than spending thousands on dental surgeries later.
