Can smoking cause kidney stones?

My brother recently had kidney stones, and he's a smoker. He's convinced his smoking habit caused it. Is there any evidence that smoking can increase your risk of developing kidney stones?

Smoking dehydrates the body and introduces heavy metals, which can contribute to kidney stone formation. It is always safest to get an ultrasound and doctor's checkup if you are experiencing any lower back pain. Please get yourself checked properly.

I recently recovered from a very painful 6mm kidney stone and my doctor specifically warned me that smoking causes dehydration which makes stones more likely. Quitting smoking and drinking 3-4 liters of water daily saved me. Trust me, you do not want to experience that pain.

Bro, I had kidney stones last year and it was literally the worst pain ever. The doc told me smoking dehydrates you and messes with kidney function, making it easier for stones to build up. Just drink tons of water and cut down on the cigarettes.

Treating kidney stones can get quite expensive if they grow large and require surgery. A practical step is to get a budget-friendly ultrasound done at a local diagnostic center to check for stones. Drinking lots of water is free and the best way to prevent them.

Let's be real: smoking causes systemic dehydration and toxins to build up in your kidneys, which is a perfect recipe for kidney stones. There is no shortcut here. Stop smoking, stay hydrated, and consult a urologist if you are feeling any sharp flank pain.

I always worry that every small ache in my back is a kidney stone, and knowing that smoking can cause them makes me so anxious. It is scary to think about that intense pain. Please consult a doctor and stay very hydrated to keep your kidneys safe.

Smoking heats up the body and dries up vital fluids, which can lead to the crystallization of salts in the kidneys. In my experience, consuming natural fluids like coconut water and practicing gentle yoga can help soothe the system. Please consult a doctor for proper guidance.
