Can smokeless tobacco cause lung cancer?

My uncle has been chewing gutkha for many years now, saying it's not as bad as smoking. But I heard that even smokeless tobacco can cause problems, including lung cancer. Is it possible to get lung cancer without actually smoking cigarettes?

Yes, my doctor always emphasizes that tobacco in any form is dangerous. Even though it is smokeless, the harmful chemicals enter your bloodstream and can still cause cellular damage in the lungs, besides major oral cancer risk.

Yes, absolutely! Tobacco is bad news overall. Even if you aren't inhaling smoke, those toxins travel through your body and can seriously harm your lungs and mouth. Better to stay far away from it!

While smokeless tobacco is most strongly linked to oral and esophageal cancers, the systemic toxins it releases can definitely impact lung tissue health as well. It's best to avoid it completely to protect your overall health.

It absolutely can. The carcinogens in chewing tobacco are absorbed through the mouth lining into the blood, reaching your lungs and other organs. It increases the risk of various cancers, not just oral ones.

Don't buy into the lie that smokeless means 'safe'. Every medical board states that tobacco carcinogens get into the bloodstream and damage organs nationwide. Talk to an oncologist or physician to understand the real risks.

Keeping our bodies pure from toxins is our first duty. Tobacco in any form disrupts the natural life force and brings disease to the lungs and throat. Choose health and live a clean life.
