Can small cavities go away?

I just noticed a tiny dark spot on one of my back teeth, and it looks like a small cavity. My friend told me that sometimes very small cavities can reverse themselves if you brush well. Is there any truth to this, or should I definitely see a dentist?

Very small ones that are just starting in the enamel can be reversed with good fluoride toothpaste and cutting down on sugar. It's much cheaper to reverse it early than paying thousands for root canals later.

If it's just initial demineralization, yes, it can remineralize. But once a physical hole is formed in the tooth, it cannot go away on its own. Go see a dentist before it gets worse.

Early stage decay can be reversed with proper dental hygiene. Just like managing thyroid, it requires regular dental checkups to make sure the cavity isn't quietly spreading deeper.

I tracked my oral health habit of using a fluoride mouthwash daily on my app, and my dentist confirmed my micro-cavity actually remineralized! Just keep your oral hygiene score high.

If the decay is very shallow, doing daily oil pulling with warm coconut oil and washing with salt water helps heal the enamel. But if there is any pain, please visit a doctor.

Yes, if it is just a tiny white spot, double down on brushing twice a day and using a good fluoride gel. If it turns black or hurts, don't waste time, just get a simple filling done.
