Can sleep paralysis cause heart attack?

Having experienced sleep paralysis a few times, the experience is always very stressful, with a racing heart. I worry that if this happens too often, it could be bad for my heart. Can sleep paralysis potentially trigger a heart attack, especially with all that sudden fear?

It is just a projection of fear in our minds, it cannot harm your heart. Keep your mind calm, pray or meditate before sleeping, and trust that you are completely protected.

The sheer panic during an episode can make your heart race like crazy, which is very scary. If you already have a history of heart issues or high blood pressure, please get a checkup done just to be safe.

I used to ignore my heavy chest pounding during sleep, thinking it was just anxiety. It turned out to be an underlying issue that needed medical attention, so please don't take chest discomfort lightly and visit a doctor.

I get sleep paralysis sometimes, and the racing heartbeat can feel like a cardiac event, but it is physically harmless. However, since everyone's health is different, check with your physician if you feel persistent chest tightness.

Sleep issues can fluctuate blood sugar and pressure, causing heart palpitations. While sleep paralysis itself doesn't cause heart attacks, keeping your health metrics checked with a doctor is a good idea.

It is just an adrenaline rush, not a heart attack. Regular cardiovascular exercise like brisk walking helps strengthen your heart and improves sleep quality, though do check with a doctor if you feel unwell.

Nah, it won't give you a heart attack. Your heart beats fast because you are scared, but physically you are totally fine. Just try to wiggle your toes to break out of it quickly.
